The 600th ASA was located at Camp Ederle in Vicenza, Italy In the early sixties it had a signal battalion and a missle battalion on post. The company had no big time operations. It was upstairs in the billets. Had a Comm center Crypto section and a DF operations office. They had rtty intercept equipment on trucks in the motorpool but no not much else. Was a great little post to be stationed at. I was out on Detachment duty 3 yrs in Ravenna and 1 year at San Vito Air station.in Brindisi.. At that time San Vito had no airplanes It's operations was the same as the ASA ops. I was with the 600th from 60-66.
