CARRS and DARRS in RVN

The 509th created a series of advisor teams throughout Nam and they were broken into two categories: Corps Area Radio Research Support (CARRS) and District Area Radio Research Support (DARRS). Each CARRS supported the DARRS in it's region. The 1st CARRS was in Pleiku (all of these locations are my guesses based on my weak memory!), 2nd CARRS was at Bien Hoa, 3rd CARRS at White Horse Compound in Saigon, and the 4th was at Can Tho. I forget the name and number of the DARRS, but there were essentially one for each district and they tended to be named after the last American unit in the area. For example, the 9th DARRS was at Dong Tam because that was the last place the 9th ID was before they stand down.
